Lovecraft: Fear of the Unknown

LovecraftThis is a well done biography of the great horror author, H.P. Lovecraft (1890 – 1937). This documentary features a lot of commentary from modern authors and directors who have been influenced by Lovecraft’s work, interspersed with chronological information about Lovecraft’s underappreciated career.  The film features interviews with Guillermo del Toro, Neil Gaiman, John Carpenter, Peter Straub, Caitlin R. Kiernan, Ramsey Campbell, Stuart Gordon, S. T. Joshi, Robert M. Price and Andrew Migliore. Written & Directed by Frank H. Woodward. Produced by William Janczewski, James B. Myers, and Woodward.

The mythos which Lovecraft created endure today, and that is a clear sign that he was successful, albeit postmortem.
