Today, Sadness Came to Our Home

“So bye-bye, 20 gig hard drive.
Pressed the power button on my 360,
But got three red lights.
And them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye,
Singin’ “That means your console did die.”
”That means your console did die.”

Spencer shows the true sadness that is the RROD.

The Dreaded Red Ring of Death (RROD) has stuck another victim, and it’s name is “ME.”  This is the second RROD we’ve had with this console, and it’s now out of warranty.

And yes, you can see a PS3 and a Wii in the picture.  The PS3 gets used for Blu-Ray, and the Wii… well, it seemed like a good idea, didn’t it?  We’ll buy a new 360 Elite tomorrow, and it’ll be good to have a decent game console back in the house again.

UPDATE:  We now have an Elite and Spencer is happy again… though he’s a bit miffed that he has to start all his games over from the beginning, he’s actually grooving on it, so I don’t think I’ll tell him I could migrate his old saved games over. Wink
